Emerald Fox Captive Heart aka Josey is a daughter from Elbie's last litter...a litter Elbie planned without consulting us. Josey's sire is a litter brother to CH Emerald Fox In Vogue (Hattie), sired by CH Posey Canyon Storm Watch (Tyke) and out of Elbie's daughter Emerald Fox Lucky Charm (Elcee). We had considered breeding Elbie to her grandson but decided to spay her for her health and longevity, but Elbie had other plans. Josey's litter sister is CH Emerald Fox Mardi Gras and the two girls are so similar.
Josey is also very much Elbie in type but in a smaller package. Like her sister Mardi, Josey has her mom's powerful driving rear and her color. The litter was a super cross because Josey also has more layback of shoulder, a smaller chest and more coat than her mom. Josey has been slower to mature than her sister but is now ready to show. Her first weekend out with co-owner Jennie Ledbetter gave Josey her first WB and BOS under judge Ann Hearn. This girl is well on her way. Emerald Fox Captive Heart is co-owned with Jennie Ledbetter and lives with Jennie where she is spoiled and pampered. We look forward to Josey's 2007 show career and are excited about what she will produce in the future. |
